My new camera Canon 5D MARK II with Sigma 50mm F1.4 EX DG HSM and EF 17-40mm f/4L just arrived yesterday and so I did a few test shots with Sigma 50mm F1.4 EX DG HSM. There are a lot of review on the web so I wouldn't bother to do any review about this lens. If you have any question at all, feel free to ask and I will try my best to answer your question.

Anyway, below are the few tested shots that I took today.

Lunch at the restaurant in Manukan Island, I ordered a Manukan Fried Rice, the price was really expensive there, it cost RM 22. No choice, as there is the only restaurant there.

And this is the Sabah famous vege, I am not sure how to call it in English, but perhaps you just say Sabah Vege will do. In Chinese, it called 沙巴粟仔菜。

Then we went to have seafoods at night at one of the most popular seafood restaurant in KK, Welcome seafood restaurant, 大茄来海鲜~ and It was one of the best meal we had in KK. And the price was reasonable, as they wouldn't charge you more because you are a traveler. So quite safe to have dinner there if you ever visit KK and looking for nice seafoods~

Malaysia Trip 2012 - Around My House

Went back to Malaysia and my hometown Bintulu for a month. I didn't take much photos over there as I was lazy and busy catching up with family and friends, plus I got a bad flu and cold twice during the holiday. Anyway, the holiday was lovely as I haven't see my family and friends for almost a year. I do missed them a lot!

These two photos were taken in my house at Bintulu. My father grew the rambutan himself and the Bougainvillea is in my house garden.

There are more photos on the way.

To be continue......

Easter Sunday Lunch

Went up to the Adelaide Hills today for lunch at Algate Pump Hotel, as several months ago I was dine in there and found out there are beautiful maple tree at the outdoor dinning area~ so I thought would be nice to have lunch there at the outdoor during autumn when the trees turned yellow or red. However, the timing was wrong, those maple trees still in green and probably I have to go back there again in another couple of weeks. Nevertheless, we still had our lunch there~

Happy Mid Autumn Festival 中秋节快乐

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

"The Mid-Autumn Festival (Simplified Chinese: 中秋节; Traditional Chinese: 中秋節; pinyin: zhōngqiūjié), also known as the Moon Festival, is a popular Chinese celebration of abundance and togetherness, dating back over 3,000 years to China's Zhou Dynasty. In Malaysia and Singapore, it is also sometimes referred to as the Lantern Festival, similar in name to a different festival which falls on the fifteenth day of the Chinese New Year).

The Mid-Autumn Festival falls on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month of the Chinese calendar (usually around mid- or late-September in the Gregorian calendar). The traditional food of this festival is the mooncake, of which there are many different varieties.

Traditionally, on this day, Chinese family members and friends will gather to admire the bright mid-autumn harvest moon, and eat moon cakes and pomeloes together.

Accompanying the celebration, there are additional cultural or regional customs, such as:

Eating moon cakes outside under the moon
*Putting pomelo rinds on one's head
*Carrying brightly lit lanterns
*Burning incense in reverence to *deities including Chang'e
*Planting Mid-Autumn trees
*Lighting lanterns on towers
*Fire Dragon Dances "

From en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mid-Autumn_Festival

By the way, this photo almost straight from the camera~~ should be my 1st photo with the least processing~only added the Chinese Characters and increase very little bit darkness~ hope you like it!!

P/S:
To All My friends~~~ no matter what nationality you are... this lantern photograph is specially dedicate for you!!!

Happy Mid Autumn Festival my friends!!!!!

中秋節快樂!!!
